What We Believe
Our mission, vision, and commitment to culturally competent care — the foundation of everything we do.
To provide accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health and addiction recovery services to every person in our community — without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or ability to pay.
Our Mission
This is not a statement we keep on a wall — it's the operating principle behind every clinical decision, every scheduling conversation, and every fee negotiation. When we say "every person," we mean it without exception.
A community where mental health and substance use disorders are treated with the same care, urgency, and dignity as any other health condition — and where no one faces those challenges without support.
Our Vision
We believe the gap between how society treats physical illness and mental health illness is a moral gap — and we're working to close it, one person at a time.
Cultural Competence
At Lighthouse Wellness and Recovery, we recognize that the people we serve come from diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and cultural contexts — and that effective care must take those differences into account.
We are committed to providing services that are culturally sensitive, affirming, and free from discrimination. We actively work to understand the unique strengths and challenges that different communities face, and to provide care that honors each person's full identity.
This includes:
- Maintaining staff training in cultural humility and trauma-informed care
- Providing services in a welcoming, affirming environment for all individuals, including LGBTQ+ community members
- Offering sliding-fee assistance to remove financial barriers to care
- Welcoming individuals regardless of immigration status, documentation, or national origin
- Continuously seeking community feedback to improve how we serve people
Your Right to Equal Access
Lighthouse Wellness and Recovery serves all patients equally. In accordance with federal and state law, we do not discriminate in the provision of services on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected class.
If you believe you have been treated unfairly, please contact us at (502) 430-2041.
Notice: A sliding-fee discount schedule is available based on family size and income. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. Please speak with our front office staff for more information.
